Rental Policies & Fees

 

How to Rent
 
Renting from us is easy! We can take orders over the phone or in person. If you want to see what the overall cost will be before placing a confirmed reservation, we can always give you a no obligation written quotation with no money down. In order to complete a confirmed reservation, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit. For you protection, an optional 10% damage waiver is automatically computed into the final cost. This fee covers any accidental damage. It does not cover loss, theft, or intentional abuse to the equipment. Please ensure that receipt of the equipment will be possible on the scheduled out date, and can be returned on the scheduled due date.
 
 
 
 
Rental Policies and Fees
 
  • All rental charges are for time out, whether the items are used or not, so please make your selections carefully.
  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve rental items. In the event of a cancellation, MPR retains this deposit and will return any other payments. This deposit can be transfered as a Rain Check to another rental upon request.
  • All Delivery reservations must be confirmed and fully paid no later than the Wednesday prior to the delivery date. Additionally, any reservations scheduled for customer pickup from our location should be confirmed and fully paid by the Wednesday before the pickup date. If this is not possible, we request that the remaining balance be paid in cash upon pickup. Personal checks and credit cards will not be accepted at time of pickup.
  • China, glassware, and silverware items are provided in special containers to ensure that you receive them clean and in good condition. These containers must be returned with the rental items. China, glassware, and silverware rentals must also be returned free of food to prevent additional charges.
  • Linen is professionally laundered and must be returned free of food, confetti, or other loose debris. Additionally, please ensure that all linens stay dry to prevent mildew.
  • All tents require a site inspection, or customer provided photos/location dimensions if a site inspection is not possible.
  • Please confirm the ability to have a tent at your location with any applicable management, city officials, fire department, insurance carrier, etc.
  • Deliveries are made to the first floor, backyard, garage, or tent. Second floor, basement, elevated deck, etc. are classified as special deliveries and will incur additional charges.
  • Without prior agreement towards delivery location, the driver will do his best to accomodate any requests. Delivery location is ultimately at the discretion of the driver.
  • Timed Deliveries during business hours are classified as special deliveries and will incur a $15 additional fee for each timed trip. Timed deliveries after hours or on weekends have a per person fee associated with them, which begins at $100 and can vary based on circumstances. Time windows (i.e. "Morning Delivery" or "Between Noon and 3 p.m.") may be requested at no additional charge, however these requests are not guaranteed.
  • Set-up/breakdown of equipment is the responsibility of the customer. We do, however, offer this service for a fee. Standard Set-up/breakdown rates are 10% of the total order plus $1.00 per table, $0.50 per chair, $0.10 per table linen, and $0.10 per place setting. This service should be requested at time of reservation. Requests for set-up at time of delivery are at the discretion of the driver and may be subject to managerial approval.
  • Equipment must be protected from the weather at all times.
  • The customer agrees that by signing the rental agreement upon receipt of the items, they are acknowledging that all equipment counts are correct.
  • The customer assumes all liability once the equipment is in their possession. Lost/stolen/deliberately abused equipment is not covered under the damage waiver and the customer will be charged for the full replacement cost.
  • If rentals are not ready/available for pickup on the scheduled date an additional day's rental will be charged per subequent day. Rentals returned late by the customer will also incur an additional day's charge for each subsequent day.
  • Occasionally, we cannot return to pick up rental items on the scheduled due date. In the event that this occurs, you will not be charged any additional rental for the time that the equipment remains in your possession. Typically a notification call will be placed.
  • Failure to return the rentals, without prior approval from a manager, will be considered theft. If you are unable to return rental equipment on the scheduled due date, please call the store and either request an additional day, or make arrangements for MPR pick-up. Failure to do so may result in additional charges, and ultimately police action.
